Leaf Moisture & Temperature

This sensor is designed to measure humidity by simulating a crop plant leaf. It determines the presence and duration of wetness on the solar surface, which makes it an essential sensor for the calculation of predictive modeling such as Botrytis or Mildew.

The LMT01A-LW sheet wetting sensor can detect small amounts of water or ice deposited on the sensor surface. Because the LMT01A-LW measures the dielectric constant of the top surface of the sensor, it can detect the presence of water or ice anywhere on the sensor surface.
It is designed to be used either within the leaf mass of a crop or to be attached to the structure of a weather station.

Leaf Moisture& Temperature Sensor

The LMT01A-LW is a Leaf Moisture Sensor for Agriculture that is designed to measure the leaf moisture and temperature and send that data to the platform in order to analyze the leaf status to determine if watering is needed, and/or for the presence of too much moisture, dew, or ice. The probe is IP67 waterproof. LMT01A-LW detects the leaf’s moisture content and temperature using the FDR method, by sensing the dielectric constant caused by liquid over the leaf surface, The probe is constructed in the shape of a leaf to best simulate characteristics of an actual leaf. The density of the probe design has 15 leaf veins per centimeter which affords it the ability to sense smaller drops with greater accuracy. LMT01A-LW is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It has a weatherproof enclosure with an industrial-level battery that allows it to work in low to high temperatures. The wireless technology used in LMT01A-LW means it can send data over extremely long ranges at low data-rates, all while providing for ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.
